Nick ZOULLAS ('70-'71) and Gabriel RABINOVICI ('88-'92) - AIAR NY Reps, welcomed 50 guests at Bottega del Vino.
"Superstorm Sandy" proved to be no match for the enthusiasm and determination of the Le Rosey Alumni in the New York City area! In spite of the storm's effects on power and public transportation, the Foundation gathering went on as planned. The get-together on November 3rd, hosted by Le Rosey Foundation Directors Nicholas Zoullas and Gabriel Rabinovici, drew not only Roseens living in NYC, but several that were travelling throught the city as well. The efficient hospitality of the Bottega del Vino restaurant and the warm and welcoming Wine Cellar venue provided a delightful time for the more than 50 attendees. Enjoying fine Wine and delicious hors d'oeuvres, the Roseen community was well-represented by alumni from the 1950's and every decade since, including a 2010 graduate attending New York University and Boriana Trifonova, a recent Le Rosey Foundation Scholar, who is now working for Google in Manhattan. Philippe Gudin sent his best wishes which were shared with all, as were the plans for the future Foundation projects that will need funding support. Sadly, there were also a couple of Roseens who had planned to come but were unable to attend due to the ravages of the storm, including one who had been without electricity for the whole week and was stranded without the usual transport into the city. For those, we will have to plan another event!
Thank you to all who came to share this special evening with us and especially to those who have offered to make donations to the Foundation projects.
